Explore the benefits of Yoga combined with Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE) to release tension stored deep within your muscles
In the workshop, Susan Loftin will lead you in a series of yoga warm-up exercises. Then learn about the science behind the yoga postures and specifically the benefits of each posture. The poses help maintain strength and flexibility and improve the physiology of the body and the systems that regulate our health. We will explore how using yoga postures (asanas) with breath (pranayama) open the energy channels in the body resulting in increased energy and vitality.
Then Alison Morris will teach you how to use Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE) in the yoga practice or to use as a stand-alone practice. To release tension stored deep within the body, TRE allows us to voluntarily initiate a natural tremoring mechanism that is the body’s innate way of restoring balance and returning to equilibrium. It can also help restore function after injuries, promote restorative sleep, and help you feel more at peace. Once learned, TRE can be practiced easily after any exercise routine or done as a stand-alone wellness routine.
This event was rescheduled from the April 4 date.
