Whether you want to enhance your existing fitness regimen, recover from an injury or illness-related problem, or just get started on the path to better health, one of Ashley’s classes will be right for you. Combining her expertise as a physical therapist with her experience and passion for Pilates, she builds rewarding mat programs designed to get you moving better. Ashley’s classes begin with a brief centering practice so you have an opportunity to calm your busy mind and focus inward. Throughout the class, gentle cuing increases the mind-body connection, and attention to breathing patterns is emphasized. Ashley’s classes help you establish mindful, healthy movement patterns to create a new relationship with your own body. Exercises can be modified to allow for more gentle movements or can be progressed if you’re ready for a more challenging workout.

What is Pilates?
Pilates is a series of low-impact exercises that challenge core stability and postural alignment in an array of positions such as supine, prone, side lying, quadruped (all 4’s), sitting, and standing. Through Pilates, you’ll develop increased mind-body connection, flexibility, strength, motor control, balance, muscular symmetry, proprioception, and postural stability. Pilates is a wonderful way to build a core foundation, allowing ease of movement and reduced pain in daily activities. Pilates also enhances agility and power, allowing you to improve your performance in any sport you may choose.
